Bosch supports the local region, helps Jihlava Hospital and rewards the ideas of its employees

Jihlava, Czech Republic – Bosch Powertrain s.r.o. once again proved that it can combine great fun with the support of a good thing. The company's 19th Representative Ball, which took place on March 6, 2026, was attended by more than five hundred visitors and a number of guests. Among the guests were important representatives of the region, such as the Governor of the Vysočina Region Martin Kukla or the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jihlava District Chamber of Commerce Jaroslav Huňáček. The great atmosphere of the ball evening was taken care of by the popular musical group Chinaski, which was supplemented by the Band MP3 and the Sax&DJ Martin Veverka musical project. The entire evening was guided with elegance and poise by the well-known television presenter Lucie Borhyová.
Bosch helps: A quarter of a million crowns for Jihlava Hospital
But the company ball wasn't just about music, dancing and social gatherings. Bosch Jihlava has long supported the local region and regularly helps organizations in the health and social field. This year, at the ball, Jihlava's Bosch made a financial donation of CZK 250,000 to Jihlava Hospital. The donation will be used to modernize the lymphological workplace of the skin department, specifically to install new ventilation with air conditioning. The symbolic check was presented to the head of the dermatology department, Marie Policarová, by the company’s commercial plant manager Suzana Cizmic together with the technical plant manager Carsten zur Steege.
“Support from such a significant company as Bosch Powertrain s.r.o. will help us further improve the care for our patients. We greatly appreciate this help and thank you for it," said Marie Policarová.
Commercial plant manager Suzana Cizmic added: "We are glad that we can financially support such an important institution of the Vysočina Region as the Jihlava Hospital. Supporting regional healthcare facilities is a natural part of Bosch's corporate responsibility.”
Innovative ideas that help save: The reward is a new Škoda Octavia
Part of the evening was also the announcement of the best improvement proposal submitted within the IdeaM internal system. In 2025, Jihlava's Bosch employees came up with a number of innovative ideas that helped the company save more than 50 million crowns in total. From the group of the best innovators, employee Oldřich Krul was drawn. He took home a new Škoda Octavia from the ball as the main IdeaM prize. The car keys were ceremoniously presented to him on stage by the company's management.
