Music, a festive atmosphere and support for a good cause. This year’s traditional New Year’s concert organised by Bosch Powertrain s.r.o. in Jihlava offered not only an exceptional cultural experience but also expressed solidarity and support for regional healthcare.
On Sunday, January 11, 2026, employees of Bosch together with their families filled the Horácké Theatre in Jihlava to the very last seat, where the 14th edition of the New Year’s Concert took place. This year’s concert motto, “From Vienna’s Prater through the fairy-tale Moritzburg Castle to Hollywood,” promised a musical journey around the world – and it fulfilled its promise completely.
The audience enjoyed well-known and popular pieces from the repertoire of the Strauss family as well as famous film melodies. The musical experience was provided by the Orchestra of the Theatre of the City of Ústí nad Labem, conducted by Marek Štilec. The star of the evening was the Slovak soprano Tatiana Hajzušová.
Music in the service of a good cause
A traditional part of the New Year’s Concert was also its charitable dimension. Following the example of its founder Robert Bosch, Bosch Powertrain s.r.o. has long been engaged in supporting society and backing projects with a positive impact on the Vysočina region. This year, the company decided, together with its employees, to support Jihlava Hospital.
Bosch donated CZK 100,000 to the hospital, and employees contributed an additional CZK 50,000. The financial gift is intended for the purchase of new equipment for the facilities for mothers in the high-risk pregnancy and postpartum ward. The symbolic cheque was accepted on behalf of Jihlava Hospital by Petra Herboltová, Head of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, from the hands of the Technical Director of Bosch Powertrain s.r.o. Carsten zur Steege.

Bosch Powertrain employs around 4,300 people. Main products include high pressure pumps for diesel engines, pressure rails, pressure control valves, injectors and fuel return lines for common rail systems. In 2023, the company expanded its existing production to include products in the field of electromobility and is gradually preparing for mass production of e-Axles, eMachines, stators and rotors. The company has received a number of national and international awards, such as the prestigious "National Quality Award of the Czech Republic-Excellent Company" or the "Audit Family & Employment" award for the company's family-oriented personnel policy. The company has been traditionally ranked at the top of the renowned competition of the best Czech exporters "Exporter of the Year" for many years.
